Finding a job can be a tough pursuit.  Responding to ads online at careerbuilder.com and the washingtonpost.com can be a good place to start, but often disappointing with limited response from employers to candidates with limited experience.    By all means, don’t give up, send out many resumes and job applications, if possible taylor your responses to each position.  In my job search, a personal connection has been much more useful than random resume distribution.  Consider developing relationships with local biotech corporations, universities, and organizations.  So where should we start?  Let’s build a list.  I’ll post a few contacts.  Please respond with anything We’ve left out.  If you find that a particular contact is outdated, please do send an email or PM.  Feel free to respond to this post with any of your experiences in your DC biotech job search.

asm.org The American Society of Microbiology is another excellent resource!  
careerbuilder.com‘s DC Bio-Tech Section.  This may be a bit obvious, but it will help develop an understanding and contact with local jobs and salaries!  Who knows, you might find a good opening!
usajobs is another great place.  Find a government job!
washingtonpost.com Does have strong leads on openings in the biotech world.
Biotech Career Center looks promising, there are many resources available on their site.
